One Night of Madness
The true story of  tragedy and justice in a rural
Mississippi town. The year is 1950. Mary Ella Harris,
a black mother of five, works hard sharecropping
alongside her husband, a man with a penchant for
gambling, drinking, and associating with unsavory
white people, one of whom is Leon Turner. Leon has
long desired Mary Ella and one night attempts to rape
her.  During their struggle, Leon is arrested by the
local Sheriff, a former bookkeeper.  Leon escapes jail
and enacts a bloody revenge. The sheriff leads the
biggest manhunt in Mississippi history. With the eyes
of the nation watching, the state itself is on trial.
